Designed around the exact shape of the room, this bespoke alcove desk turns a difficult space beneath a window into a practical, continuous workspace.
The asymmetric solid wood top combines a deeper working area on the left with a narrower section extending across the window. Stepped edges and individually measured angles allow the desk to follow the surrounding walls while retaining a clean, purposeful shape.
Three black steel hairpin legs are positioned around the outside of the desk: two beneath the deeper left-hand area and one at the far-right end. This triangular arrangement supports the top without placing a leg in the central seating area or interrupting the open appearance of the design.
The desktop is handmade by Theo from wide solid wood boards, joined and shaped as a single continuous top. It can be ordered in a choice of Artemis London wood finishes and either 3.3 cm or 4.5 cm thickness.
